The Latin American Brewers Association transformed the sector's outlook during its 2025 Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida, consolidating the unity and strength of an industry that contributes US$88.6 billion to regional GDP and generates 3.9 million jobs in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The meeting, held on March 12 and 13, connected brewery leaders from 22 countries, who collaborated under a shared vision: to strengthen regional ties and amplify the sector's unified voice in international forums.
"This meeting reaffirms our commitment to a united, future-oriented and sustainable Latin American brewing industry," said Tania Ramos Beltrán, Executive Director of Cerveceros Latinoamericanos, highlighting how the integration of tradition with innovation is opening new paths for the region's brewing heritage.

During the Annual Meeting, the new Board of Directors 2025-2027 was elected, led by Alline Smid(Heineken) as President and Raúl Escalante(AB InBev) as Vice President. The full board also includes Barbara Wolf and Juan Pablo Barrales from CCU; Jorge Solis from Cervecería de Nicaragua; María Pía Robles from FIFCO; Kemen Bilbao from Cervecería Polar; José Alfaro Díaz and Luis Álvarez from AB InBev; Oscar Gálvez and María Fernanda Cunhal from Heineken. This diversified leadership structure reflects the geographical and business plurality of the sector, consolidating an integrating vision that strengthens the voice of the Latin American beer industry.

"We are building the future of our Latin American brewing industry together, uniting tradition and innovation to face common challenges," said the new leaders, reaffirming the commitment to work on the association's strategic pillars: public health, regulatory framework and sustainability.

The program included presentations from leading international experts such as Adam Ratzlaff(Diplomatic Courier's World in 2050 Brain Trust), Laurence Wilse-Samson (Chief Economist at Oxford Economics), Damon Ansell (Senior Policy Advisor at the World Brewers Alliance) and Alex Finney (Senior Manager at CT Group), who provided valuable perspectives on the regional political landscape, economic outlook and global challenges facing the industry.

In the workshops and panels dedicated to the strategic pillars, participants shared successful experiences and forged action plans under the CRECE (Cerveceros Regionales: Estrategia Colaborativa y Eficiente) framework, reinforcing the message that unity is our greatest strength.
The event culminated with a networking dinner that celebrated Latin American brewing diversity and strengthened ties among representatives of an industry that is moving steadily towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
